1. Description of services

CardFolio is an app for managing and valuing your trading-card collection. The app helps you record your cards and sealed products, organize them into collections, and track their estimated market value over time. CardFolio does not itself process purchases or sales of cards or products and is not a marketplace.

CardFolio is offered in a free version (Free) and with a paid subscription (CardFolio Pro). Free includes, in particular, up to 30 single-card scans per calendar month, up to two collections, and up to two free page scans in total. CardFolio Pro removes these Free quotas and unlocks the features marked as Pro in the app. The specific set of features is shown in the app before a subscription is purchased.

During a testing or beta phase, we may temporarily grant selected accounts access to CardFolio Pro free of charge. This does not create a right to permanent free access.

2. CardFolio Pro, prices, and term

CardFolio Pro is currently offered for €4.99 per month or €34.99 per year. The price, currency, applicable taxes, and billing period displayed by the relevant app store immediately before purchase are authoritative. Regional prices may differ.

For eligible new customers, the annual subscription may include a 7-day free trial. Eligibility is determined by the relevant app store. Unless you cancel the trial in time through the store's subscription management, it automatically converts to the paid annual subscription.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each term for another billing period unless you cancel before the renewal time specified by the app store. Billing is handled by the app store using the payment method stored there. We do not receive complete payment details such as credit-card or bank-account information.

3. Cancellation, restoration, and refunds

You can cancel CardFolio Pro at any time through the subscription management of the app store where you purchased it. Cancellation stops automatic renewal; Pro generally remains available until the end of the billing period already paid for. Purchases can be associated with the signed-in CardFolio account again through Restore purchases, to the extent supported by the app store and the store account used for the purchase.

Billing, cancellation, and refunds are generally handled by the relevant app store under its terms. Mandatory consumer rights, including any statutory withdrawal, warranty, or refund rights, remain unaffected.

Deleting your CardFolio account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through an app store. To avoid further charges, cancel the subscription separately in the store's subscription management.

4. Fair use and protection against abuse

CardFolio Pro removes the monthly Free scan limit but is subject to a fair-use limit of currently 500 scan operations per calendar day to protect service availability and prevent automated or abusive use. Failed scans that are technically refunded are not finally counted against this allowance. In the event of unusual or automated use, we may temporarily limit requests, prohibit evident abuse, and take necessary protective measures after review.

Limits may not be circumvented by using multiple accounts, automated requests, manipulation, or other workarounds. Material changes to paid services or limits will be made only in accordance with applicable legal and contractual requirements and will be announced transparently.

5. No warranty for data

The catalog and value data displayed in the app (including card data, prices, and exchange rates) originate from external third-party sources. We give no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data. For further information, see the Legal Information.

6. Affiliate links

The app may contain links to external marketplaces (e.g. Cardmarket or eBay). Some of these are affiliate links: if a purchase made through them generates remuneration, we may receive a commission. This incurs no additional cost for you. The operators of the linked marketplaces are solely responsible for their content, offers, and prices.

7. Permitted use

You may use CardFolio solely for your own private purposes to manage your own collection. In particular, you may not misuse the app or its services, extract data from it in an automated manner (e.g. through scraping or bots), or use it in a way that impairs the availability or integrity of the service for other users.

8. Account and account deletion

You may delete your CardFolio account at any time, without giving reasons and without a notice period, via Settings → Delete account. Upon deletion, your CardFolio account and associated app data are deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Separate cancellation of a store subscription is governed by section 3.

9. Limitation of liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, under the Product Liability Act, for injury to life, body, or health, and in all other cases of mandatory statutory liability. Otherwise, liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

10. Changes

We may amend these Terms of Use, in particular to reflect changes in the legal framework or in the app's functionality. Mandatory information, consent, and termination rights remain unaffected. The effectively agreed version applies. This version carries the version identifier 2026-07-26.

11. Governing law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, unless mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your habitual residence provide otherwise.
